Jeff LiebermannThe University of Iowa Foundation’s Jeff Liebermann is the 2013 CASE V Distinguished Service Award Recipient.

The award, CASE V’s highest recognition, is given annually to the district’s top volunteer. In December, Jeff Liebermann completed his eighth year on the CASE V Board of Directors, the last six on the executive committee, including serving as board chair in 2010-2011.

First volunteered at 1995 conference

Liebermann first got involved with for CASE V when he volunteered to assist with the local hospitality desk at the 1995 district conference. He joined the conference committee in 1997 and held positions as the career center coordinator, newcomers/pre conference chair, and hotel floor manager.

In addition to his district leadership, Liebermann is well recognized as a presenter in the areas of alumni relations, philanthropy, and professional development at CASE IV, V, and VI district conferences. Liebermann is also very involved with CASE International programming. He has served on the faculty for numerous CASE workshops and conferences, including five years on the faculty of the CASE Summer Institute in Alumni Relations.

Director of development at University of Iowa Foundation

In his professional life, Liebermann is the executive director of development for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) at the University of Iowa Foundation where he is responsible for major gifts fundraising and manages campaigns for CLAS, the arts campus, and the University of Iowa Museum of Art. Liebermann has spent his entire career in advancement, starting as the assistant director of alumni relations at the University of Northern Iowa (1989-1995) before moving to the University of Iowa Alumni Association (1995-1998), then to the UI Foundation. He received his B.A. in communications/public relations from Northern Iowa in 1988 and his M.A. in journalism from Iowa in 2002.
