Parting Shot II

Eureka College in central Illinois built its state-of-the-art Bonati Fitness Center in summer 2007 with a portion of $1 million donated by Christine Bonati Bollwinkle in memory of her husband, Ronald Bonati. The 1,600-square-foot facility is an addition to the front of Reagan Physical Education Center and includes 30 pieces of equipment worth more than $80,000. Aerobic machines make up half the equipment; the other half is self-contained strength training machines. Included are six with computer programs that allow users to create personal training programs. Besides free-of-charge use by the campus community, the facility gives physical education students, particularly fitness leadership majors, expanded opportunities for hands-on learning.

about case v
The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) is an international association of education advancement officers, who include alumni administrators, fund raisers, public relations managers, publications editors, and government relations officers. The ultimate goal of advancement professionals is to enhance their institutions by bringing in support — be it in the form of money, alumni loyalty, public esteem, or new students. In turn, CASE's purpose is to help these people advance the cause of education. It does this by offering information resources and training opportunities to aid its members.
CASE District V includes members from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin.
