CASE V Seeking Volunteer Web Manager
The CASE V District Board is seeking a volunteer to serve as the district web manager. This is an appointment to the CASE V District Board beginning the fall of 2007 and continuing through December 2008 with the potential for renewal. Nominations, including self nominations, will be accepted through September 15. Nominations should include the individual’s resume as well as information related to the individual’s ability to meet the responsibilities outlined in the position description outlined below. The web manager is a critical member of the CASE V board and conference team. CASE V District Web Manager Position Description
Responsibilities
- Oversee the administration and development of the CASE V Web site (http://www.casefive.org). Major duties include:
- Collaborate with board chair, conference chair, advance editor and other members to regularly post to CASE V home page, CASE V blog (http://casev.blogspot.com), and other semi-static pages.
- Work with Pride of CASE V Awards chair to post information about the awards program; develop awards registration and payment forms for competitors.
- Work with Resource Center chair to post information for potential vendors/exhibitors; develop resource center registration forms.
- Create conference Web site to serve as one of the primary marketing materials for the district’s annual conference.
- Suggest and implement new Web site content or functionalities to benefit district members.
- Maintain internal CASE V Web sites for use by board and committee members. Major duties include:
- Post items as necessary to intranet page.
- Oversee an internal Web-based application that tracks conference sessions, speakers, expenses and AV needs.
- Oversee an internal Web-based application that tracks resource center registrants, including credit card payments.
- Work with external vendors to accomplish above tasks. Major duties include:
- Work directly with CASE International as the host of the CASE V Web site and provider of credit card transaction service.
- Hire and supervise freelance programmers as necessary.
- Attend and participate in all appropriate board and conference committee meetings.
- Attend the CASE V district conference.
Qualifications
- Experience in information architecture, design, content development, and implementation of transaction-driven Web sites.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS (including CSS used for positioning).
- Working knowledge of Web development applications, such as Dreamweaver, Flash, and Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, ImageReady).
- Understanding of technical issues associated with Web development and ability to collaborate with programmers and technical staff.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to CASE V members, board, and conference committee.
- ColdFusion knowledge highly desirable but not absolutely required.
