Pre-Conference Workshop for Newcomers to the Field of Advancement
Saturday Noon-5:00 pm
CASE V Institute for New Advancement Professionals
New to advancement? Is this your first job out of college or your second or third career change? Well, this session is for you! Have lunch with the CASE District V Board of Directors and enjoy our esteemed keynote speaker John Lippincott, President of CASE International. John will give us an overview of the field of Advancement and how CASE can assist you in your new career. He will also share a number of opportunities for you to help CASE. After this session you will know the mission of CASE and why the work we do in advancement is so important. When you are new to advancement work, how do we position ourselves for the greatest productivity and success? What mindset, productivity practices, and communications strategies do we need to experience the results we want? Marcy Heim will answer these questions and give you much, much more. Heim has more than 25 years of successful major gift development paired with work in theater and musical performance. This combines for an entertaining, passionate and thoughtful message. She is a CASE Crystal Apple Award recipient for earning the highest faculty rating at 10 consecutive national conferences. She's been featured at AFP International Conferences since 2005 and is one of only 125 graduates worldwide from the AFP Faculty Academy. A networking reception with the CASE V Board of Directors and Conference Committee will conclude the afternoon's activities.
