“What an honor it was to be selected as a 2014 Case V Diversity Scholarship recipient! Attending the conference allowed me to transition into my role with new insights, increased knowledge, and most of all, support. I believe that the scholarship speaks volumes and makes a statement that diversity is a priority for CASE V and should be for all institutions we serve. CASE V demonstrated true partnership with my institution by investing in my personal development as a diversity professional. I came to the conference hopeful and empowered and left the conference with a new network of colleagues from institutions throughout our region. Most of all, I gained an understanding of issues, best practices, and available resources from a regional perspective. Attending the conference has informed the strategies, relationships, and proposed solutions I have employed to address complex diversity issues I face in my position – which are often cross-cutting CASE V’s focus areas of advancement, alumni relations, communications/marketing and fundraising.”
