Wednesday, May 09, 2007
We live in a service economy. And, CASE V will hold a one-day seminar about competing successfully in it.
Marketing Your Institution in a "Service Economy" is the next CASE V by Demand offering through CASE V. The day-long session runs from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
This seminar focuses on the differences between marketing a service (think your school) and marketing a product (which are what most marketing courses apply themselves to). Content will expand the traditional 4 P's of marketing to the 7 P's of service and focus on why the resulting integrated marketing activities are essential when competing for students, reputation and revenue sources.
The session targets:
- University or college marketing professionals
- University or college communication professionals
- Public affairs officers
- Development and alumni officers
Tom Hayes, professor of marketing at Xavier University for 31 years, will lead the session. Hayes is also vice president and partner for Simpson-Scarborough, a marketing consulting agency for higher education.
Registration is only $100, which includes materials and lunch.
